Coral8 Wins 2007 17th Annual Jolt Productivity Award

Coral8 Complex Event Processing Software Wins Award in the Broader Database Engines and Data Tools Category

MOUNTAIN VIEW, California, March 27, 2007 -- Coral8, Inc., a leading provider of Complex Event Processing (CEP) software, today announced that the company received a 2007 17th Annual Jolt Productivity Award in the Database Engines and Data Tools category. The award winners were announced at CMP Technology's Software Development West 2007 Conference and Expo, held at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA. Being named a Jolt Award Productivity Award winner in the broad Database Engines and Data Tools category underscores the growing importance and role of CEP as part of an overall enterprise information management strategy.

The Coral8 Engine was selected from among 26 product nominations in the Database Engines and Data Tools category by a renowned team of judges that select Jolt award winners based on how nominees have made it faster and easier to create data-centric applications. Products in the Best Database Engines and Tools category help facilitate, maintain and manage the storage and retrieval of data and objects, including search tools for the desktop and the enterprise. The Coral8 Engine was the only CEP software to receive one of the 2007 Jolt Product Excellence and Productivity Awards.

“By delivering breakthrough products that help developers with application development challenges, companies like Coral8 continue to raise the bar for what is possible for software developers,” said Rosalyn Lum, awards and events manager, CMP Technology. “Products like the Coral8 Engine promote developer and IT productivity by enabling rapid development and deployment of real-time applications that were previously impossible due to high development and infrastructure costs.”

The Coral8 Engine combines a high-performance event processing architecture, a familiar, SQL-based development language, and enterprise-class server features to ease the building and deployment of CEP applications. Coral8 removes development complexity, reduces time-to-deployment and lowers administration costs to get powerful CEP applications delivered quickly and scaled anywhere in the enterprise.

"Being selected as a Jolt Productivity Award winner illustrates how CEP and Coral8 help developers across multiple markets to build new applications that directly impact their business,” said Terry Cunningham, CEO of Coral8, Inc. “Our stated goal is to give developers the best possible tools and engine for Complex Event Processing, so being recognized as a Jolt award winner gives us great satisfaction that we are effectively meeting the needs of this audience.”
