Coral8 Server
The Coral8 Engine lowers barriers to delivering CEP applications by providing enterprise-class features which allow customers to easily deploy, integrate and manage these applications in the most scalable and mission-critical environments. This allows developers to spend all their time creating new application functionality and that can be rolled-out on a dependable, scalable infrastructure as the business demands.
Scalable Performance
The Coral8 Engine revolutionizes the way high-speed data can be analyzed, providing high throughput and real-time response. Highly parallel execution and query optimization allow Coral8 applications to dynamically scale. Advanced integration and caching of data from databases enables the Coral8 Engine to maintain high levels of performance when correlating high-speed data streams with historical and reference data.
Dynamic Expansion
The lightweight streaming architecture of the Coral8 Server enables resources to be easily scaled and configured, reducing administrative costs and speeding application changes. The Coral8 Server can be quickly configured. New application components (adapters, streams and query modules) and existing ones can be deployed and re-configured on the shared infrastructure without server re-start and application disruption.
Clustering and High Availability
The Coral8 Server supports clustering features for application scalability and high availability. Through federated processing and stream-level clustering configurations, Coral8 servers can be configured to scale on system-level clusters and computing GRIDs. Shared-state and hot-standby configurations ensure that the failure of any one system does not materially affect the cluster. In addition, persistence and guaranteed message delivery options help drive very fast recovery from failures and ensure no loss of state or in-flight transactions.
Secure
The Coral8 Engine provides granular, enterprise-grade security allowing IT organizations to easily specify and manage connections to the Coral8 system and control access to various components within the Coral8 server. Entitlements for connections, access and execution controls can be specified for workspaces, projects, query modules and streams and managed by user, role or IP address.
The Coral8 security system includes authentication plug-ins for LDAP, Microsoft Active Directory, Apache-style htpasswd/htgroup files for easy integration with enterprise authentication and security infrastructure. An SDK for creating custom user authentication plug-ins is also included.
Integrated Management
From a single Coral8 Studio, IT teams can easily deploy, configure and monitor applications on any Coral8 Server on the network. The Coral8 server also supports SNMP, enabling it to be monitored from enterprise management frameworks and consoles such as HP OpenView, IBM Tivoli, and CA Unicenter.
